On the morning of February 28, Israel and the USA struck Iran, leading to statements from Donald Trump about the intention to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.

Iran responded with strikes on Israeli and American military facilities in the Middle East, including Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai (UAE), as well as Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

As a result of the American-Israeli operation, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, and his wife, Mansure Khodjasteh, died from her injuries.

Donald Trump also noted that military actions in Iran would last about four weeks. A jihad was declared in Iran against the USA and Israel, with a statement about the inadmissibility of any negotiations.

The conflict in the Middle East is impacting the global situation, including Kyrgyzstan. Currently, thousands of Kyrgyz tourists are stranded in the UAE. Contact numbers for embassies and consulates for Kyrgyz citizens abroad can be found here.
