Daily Mail: Mysterious Earthquakes Recorded Near Secret US Base in Nevada
According to the Daily Mail, the "mysterious earthquakes" occurred near one of the most classified military bases in the USA, where nuclear weapons testing has taken place. Seismic activity was recorded at the testing site in Nevada, which also includes the more famous "Zone 51." The newspaper emphasizes that these earthquakes may simply reflect the usual geological activity of the region.
According to data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), 16 earthquakes with a magnitude of over 2.5 occurred in this area in the last 24 hours. Over the past week, seismologists recorded more than a hundred tremors with magnitudes ranging from 1.0 to over 3.0. The publication notes that the earthquakes began at the moment of the US and Israel's attack on Iran at the end of February 2026.
On February 28, Israel and the USA struck Iran. Donald Trump announced his goal to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.
In response, Iran began striking targets in Israel and other countries in the Middle East where US military facilities are located. Attacks were organized against Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai (UAE), and Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
As a result of the US-Israeli operation, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, and then his wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh, died from her injuries.
Donald Trump stated that the operation in Iran would last about four weeks. A jihad against the USA and Israel was proclaimed in Iran, emphasizing that there would be no negotiations.
The conflict in the Middle East is affecting the entire world, including Kyrgyzstan. Due to the current situation in the UAE, thousands of tourists are stranded. Phone numbers for embassies and consulates for Kyrgyz citizens abroad can be found here.
