- US President Donald Trump announced the government's readiness to provide insurance for tankers in the region and the possible escort of these vessels by the US Navy through the strait.
- Global stock markets began to decline amid threats to oil supplies from the Middle East, with investors fearing a new wave of inflation due to a potential energy crisis.
- Iran's allies from "Hezbollah" in Lebanon have started shelling Israel, which was followed by Israeli airstrikes and the strengthening of ground positions in the south of the country. The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported increased security measures along the border with Lebanon.
- Trump stated that American armed forces struck various maritime and aviation targets in Iran, claiming that "almost everything was destroyed."
- According to Iranian sources, dozens of people have died in the region since the start of US and Israeli attacks, including 787 victims, among them 165 schoolgirls.

- Trump stated that he ordered American forces to join Israel's strikes on Iran, believing that Tehran was preparing for a first strike. This statement contradicts the version previously voiced by the US Secretary of State.
- Additionally, the US president threatened to completely halt trade with Spain for refusing to grant American military access to its bases for operations against Iran.

On February 28, Israel and the US carried out strikes on Iran. Donald Trump announced the intention to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic.In response, Iran began attacking the territory of Israel and other Middle Eastern countries where US facilities and military bases are located. Strikes were carried out against Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai (UAE), as well as Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
As a result of the US-Israeli attacks, the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed. Shortly after, his wife, Mansoureh Khojasteh, also died from her injuries sustained in the attack.
Trump noted that the military operation in Iran would last about four weeks. Iran declared jihad against the US and Israel, stating that there would be no negotiations.
