The 'Kamishanovka' checkpoint will become international and operate around the clock

Changes at the border crossing points with Kazakhstan have been approved by the Jogorku Kenesh

During the second reading, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh supported the bill regarding the ratification of the protocol that amends the agreement between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on border crossing points.

This document includes several significant changes concerning two checkpoints.

In particular, the checkpoint "Kamishanovka - road" located in the Chui region on the border with Kazakhstan will be renamed to "Tomonku-Chui - road". Additionally, its status will be transformed from bilateral to multilateral (international), allowing not only citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan but also foreigners to cross the border.

The operating regime of the checkpoint will also change: currently, it is open only during the daytime, but after the adoption of the new amendments, it will start functioning around the clock.

Another update concerns the checkpoint "Kichi-Kapka - road" located in the Talas region. Its status will also change from bilateral to multilateral, significantly simplifying border crossing for foreign citizens.
