The agreement is aimed at establishing a legal framework for attracting foreign investments into the country.
Today, during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, the deputies discussed and approved the bill "On the Ratification of the Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Italy on the Encouragement and Protection of Investments," which was signed on May 30, 2025, in Astana, in the third reading.
The main goal of the agreement is to create a legal basis that facilitates the attraction of foreign direct investments into Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, the elected representatives also reviewed the bill "On the Ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union," signed on July 28, 2025, in Moscow, which also passed the third reading.
These amendments are aimed at addressing shortcomings identified during the application of the legislation, as well as clarifying definitions.
As a result of the voting, the deputies supported both bills.
