The Housing Committee approved the ratification of the Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Italy on the encouragement and protection of investments in the first reading.

- At the meeting of the Committee on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition Development of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the draft law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic on the Promotion and Protection of Investments" was reviewed and approved. This agreement was signed on May 30, 2025, in Astana.

The initiator of this draft law was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Deputy Chairman of the National Investment Agency under the President, Damirbek Bikulov, emphasized that the main goal of the agreement is to create a legal framework for attracting foreign investments. This will ensure the protection of the rights and interests of investors and create conditions that help reduce risks associated with investments.
