
Today, during the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputies discussed and adopted in the third reading the bill "On the ratification of the Agreement on financing and the Grant Agreement for the 'One Health' project, concluded between Kyrgyzstan and the International Development Association/International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The document aims to ensure the health of the population, animals, and the protection of the environment in the country.
Key aspects of the project include combating zoonotic infections, preventing antimicrobial resistance, and ensuring food safety.
According to the agreements, for the implementation of "Phase 1" of the 'One Health' program, Kyrgyzstan is allocated 30 million dollars in the form of a loan and 1.79 million dollars as a grant.
The loan is provided for a term of 50 years with a ten-year grace period and a zero interest rate.
