The meeting was held at "Yntymak Ordo" under the leadership of Edil Baisalov, Deputy Prime Minister.
Members of the commission, representatives of various state structures, and deputy authorized representatives of the president in the regions participated in the event.
Edil Baisalov, speaking at the meeting, emphasized the importance of a consistent state policy in the field of historical memory, which should be based on scientific approaches.
“Responsible naming and installation of monuments require public consent,” he added.
The commission reviewed 44 initiatives submitted by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Bishkek City Hall, and the authorized representatives of the president.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to name the following educational institutions:
- Chinghiz Aitmatov;
- Kasyim Tynystanov;
- Iskhak Razzakov;
- Jusup Abdrakhmanov;
- Ishenaly Arabayev;
- Tugolbay Sydykbekov;
- Daiyra Asanova;
- Soronbay Jusupov;
- Sultan Ibraimov;
- Apasmat Masaliev;
- Kurmanzhan Datka;
- Alymbek Datka.
The commission also expressed support for several initiatives regarding the installation of monuments. Work on the systematization of proposals in the field of perpetuating memory will continue.
