Active preparations for spring field work are underway in the Kara-Suu district, as reported by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev.
At the meeting organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, representatives of territorial structures, the district akim, the presidential representative in the Osh region Amanakan Kenjebaev, as well as local leaders of ayil aimaks and the head of the district emergency department were present.
During the discussion, the minister listened to reports from relevant services on preparations for field work, the provision of mineral fertilizers, and the cleaning of irrigation canals. The leaders of the ayil aimaks presented data on the area of irrigated lands and water intake sources.
Bakyt Torobaev emphasized the need for intensified preparations for the upcoming work and for explaining to farmers the advantages of certified seeds.
“It is important to inform farmers now about the benefits of using certified seeds. To avoid problems during the irrigation season, it is necessary to complete the cleaning of irrigation canals in advance,” he stressed.
In addition, specialists reported the arrival of modern agricultural machinery in the district, which significantly contributes to the development of the agricultural sector. It was also noted that the banks "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank" have begun providing farmers with preferential loans.
