
A concrete asphalt plant with a capacity of 35 tons per hour has also started operating in the region.
A ceremony was held in the Batken region for the transfer of 43 units of specialized equipment for road construction, organized with the participation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Ministry of Transport and Communications reported.
The event was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan, Hiroshi Hirano, JICA Resident Representative Kotaro Nishigato, First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Beknazar Bazaraliev, Presidential Envoy in the Batken region Aibek Shamenov, as well as local authorities.
Additionally, an asphalt plant capable of producing 35 tons of asphalt per hour has been established in the Batken district.
“The launch of the new plant will ensure timely supplies of materials for the construction and repair of roads, as well as significantly improve the maintenance and servicing of the road surface with the help of new equipment,” the statement said.
