Japan handed over 43 units of special equipment to the Batken region




The ceremony for the transfer of special equipment took place in the Batken region as part of the implementation of the project "Improvement of Equipment for Road Maintenance and Pavement." It was reported that high-ranking officials attended the event, including the Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan, Hiroshi Ryuichi, the Resident Representative of JICA in the country, Nishigato Kotaro, the First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Beknazar Bazaraliyev, and the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Batken region, Aybek Shamenov, as well as local officials.

With the support of the Japanese agency JICA, the region received 43 units of road construction and maintenance equipment, and an asphalt concrete plant with a production capacity of 35 tons per hour was also established.

The head of the region expressed gratitude for this cooperation, noting: "Despite the distance, Japan demonstrates its support. JICA is a reliable partner, thanks to which we can expand cooperation in many areas." With the launch of the asphalt concrete plant, the ability to provide necessary materials for construction and repair work in the region will be significantly improved, and the new equipment will accelerate the process of maintaining the road surface.

According to the representative office, in 2025, 84 km of roads were repaired and 56 km of gravel roads were built in the Batken region. This year, it is planned to asphalt 300 km of roads and build 100 km of gravel roads.
