Ulan Biibosunov appointed head of the State National Security Committee in Bishkek

Ulan Biibosunov has been appointed as the head of the State National Security Committee (GKNB) in Bishkek, as reported by sources from 24.kg within the security forces.

According to available information, Biibosunov is a colonel in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Previously, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs and headed the anti-extremism service in the Ministry.

At the time of publication, there was no official information about his appointment in open sources.

It should be noted that following the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev as head of the GKNB, the president initiated measures to reform the agency.
