A corruption scheme related to the illegal enrollment of citizens in driving schools has been uncovered in the Batken region. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
According to information provided by the state committee, some driving school leaders, having united into an organized criminal group, carried out fictitious enrollments of individuals who were not actually present in Kyrgyzstan. To obtain illegal income, they conducted enrollments remotely, without actual participation in theoretical and practical classes, while preparing forged documents confirming the successful completion of courses.
As a result of searches sanctioned within the framework of a criminal case, evidence was collected regarding the systematic enrollment of students in private driving schools while they were outside the country.
The SCNS also reported that operational investigative actions are currently ongoing to identify and hold accountable other individuals involved in the corruption scheme, as well as to annul driver's licenses obtained through criminal means.
