
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, precipitation is expected in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan on February 9, which may trigger avalanches.
Specialists from the agency warn of possible snow avalanches, snow drifts, snow accumulation, and the formation of ice on the following sections of the roads:
Bishkek — Osh: 121-138 km (Tuu-Ashuu Pass), 198–255 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge);
Ala-Buka — Kanysh-Kiya: 65-101 km (Chapchyma Pass);
Krasnaya Gorka — Ak-Tash: 0-3 km;
Myryza-Ake — Kara-Kulja — Alaykuu: 65-110 km;
Karakol — Enilchek: 45-90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass).
In this regard, drivers are advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles when passing through hazardous areas.
