The most accident-prone days of the week in Kyrgyzstan were discussed by the Main Department of Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Representatives from the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Patrol Police, the city administration, the Ministry of Health, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK), as well as activists and students participated in the discussion. The main topics included the implementation of state programs for road safety, improving infrastructure in dangerous areas, including street lighting, the installation of road signs, and the creation of pedestrian zones.
Forum participants also emphasized the need to tighten control over speed violations and driving under the influence of alcohol.
As part of the event, employees of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety presented statistics on road accidents in the country.
According to the agency's data, most traffic accidents involve individuals aged 25 to 40. The most serious accidents with severe injuries and fatalities are most often recorded at night, between 12:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
The highest number of traffic accidents is registered at the beginning of the week—on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
