The Road Safety Forum Took Place in Bishkek
Today, a forum was held in Bishkek where important issues regarding road safety and methods for reducing the number of traffic accidents were discussed. Participants evaluated the situation in the capital and the country and developed specific steps for improvement.
High-profile representatives participated in the event, including Azenbek Kozukeev, head of the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Azamat Toktonaliev, head of the Bishkek City Police Department, Ramiz Aliyev, deputy mayor, as well as representatives from the judiciary, religious organizations, local authorities, and educational institutions.
The forum focused on the causes of traffic accidents and ways to prevent them. Participants emphasized the need to strengthen government programs aimed at road safety, as well as to improve infrastructure in high-accident areas, including lighting, road signs, and pedestrian crossings. An important point was also the tightening of control over speed limits and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Significant attention was also paid to preventive measures. Forum participants suggested regularly conducting educational work among citizens, expanding traffic rules training programs in educational institutions of various levels, and establishing cooperation with local communities.
The forum noted that the formation of a culture of safe behavior on the road should begin at a young age. Educational institutions were recommended to work more actively with children and teenagers to ensure they consciously follow traffic rules.
Addressing drivers and pedestrians, participants emphasized that adherence to traffic rules is an individual responsibility of each person. Special attention was given to the safety of children and the elderly, who are more often victims of traffic accidents.
The forum also included a creative segment, showcasing poems and mini-scenes illustrating the consequences of violating traffic rules. In conclusion, an interactive session on traffic rule knowledge took place.
Summarizing, Azenbek Kozukeev noted that reducing the number of accidents is only possible through the joint efforts of the state and society. He urged everyone to be an example of responsible behavior on the road, emphasizing the principle "Safe roads — safe future."
