Important topics were discussed at the event, such as the implementation of state programs for road safety, improving infrastructure in hazardous areas, including the installation of street lighting, road signs, and the creation of pedestrian zones. Participants of the forum included leaders of the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Patrol Service of the capital's police, representatives from the city administration, the Ministry of Health, the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, as well as activists and students.
According to information from the Main Department for Road Traffic Safety, last year the country recorded 2,217 traffic accidents involving minors. As a result of these accidents, 121 children lost their lives, and 2,569 children sustained injuries of varying severity.
