Ramadan will begin on February 19
The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK) has announced that the beginning of the month of Ramadan is set for February 19. This information was announced at the administration.
The decision was made by the fatwa council of the member countries of the Turkic Council during a meeting held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
On the evening of February 18, a prayer will be held in all mosques across the country, which is a traditional precursor to the holy month.
DUMK urges all believers to prepare in advance for fasting and to strictly adhere to religious prescriptions.
