Dozens of predators shot after attacks on livestock in the village of Ak-Tal
The village elder, Dastan Imankbekov, reported that from November 2025 to the present day, 22 jackals have been killed. The skins of these animals have been handed over to the district's agricultural development management, where they were registered and marked. According to the information, hunters receive a reward of about 1600 soms for each jackal shot.
Dastan Imankbekov also noted that in the northern part of the village, surrounded by the wooded banks of the Naryn River, there is a higher number of jackals compared to other areas. In the evenings, they approach the village, making a warlike howl, which frightens local residents, including children. There have been cases where jackals attacked poultry, as well as lambs and kids. The payment of 1600 soms for each jackal shot, according to him, is supportive, but it would be easier if assistance for local hunters were more substantial.
