Two detained in Kara-Suu district on suspicion of distributing extremist materials

In the Kara-Suu district, two citizens suspected of distributing extremist materials were detained. This information was provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Osh region.

According to law enforcement agencies, operational measures were carried out by employees of the Service for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Kara-Suu District Department of Internal Affairs in cooperation with representatives of the Kara-Suu District Department of the State Committee for National Security for the city of Osh and the Osh region. As a result of their actions, individuals suspected of distributing extremist content on social media were identified.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the detainees were posting materials related to the organization "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" through their accounts. Based on the collected evidence, a criminal case was initiated under Article 332 ("Manufacturing and Distribution of Extremist Materials") of the Criminal Code, and appropriate investigative actions were started.

As a result of operational-search activities, two individuals were detained: S. uulu A., born in 2001, and A.M., born in 1997. They were placed in a temporary detention facility.

Efforts to identify other possible accomplices are ongoing.
