Hungary is interested in the experience of Kyrgyzstan in implementing digital technologies in elections

On January 23, the Deputy Chairperson of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums, Aydana Zhupueva, held a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan, Shandor Dorogi. The press service of the CEC reported this.

During the conversation, the directions for deepening bilateral cooperation were discussed, including the exchange of experience in organizing electoral processes.

Ambassador Shandor Dorogi expressed Hungary's interest in the experience of the Kyrgyz CEC in the application of modern digital technologies in elections, as well as in the practice of implementing gender quotas.

In addition, the meeting raised the issue of creating a polling station for Hungarian citizens in Kyrgyzstan, specifically at the embassy in Bishkek, in connection with the parliamentary elections scheduled for April 12, 2026.
Furthermore, the Hungarian ambassador invited representatives of the CEC to participate in international observation of the parliamentary elections in Hungary.

Aydana Zhupueva confirmed the readiness for active participation in these elections and emphasized the importance of further developing cooperation between the electoral bodies of the two countries.
