How to avoid confusion when assigning identification numbers?
Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies Nursultan Kubanov reported to the Jogorku Kenesh that men will not be able to receive PIN codes intended for women, and vice versa.
During the discussion on the assignment of personal identification numbers (PIN), Deputy Dastanbek Jumabekov expressed concern about possible confusion and clarified whether citizens who have changed their gender can expect to change their PIN code.
He noted: "There are already examples in the world where women become men and vice versa. How will this be regulated legally?"
In response, Kubanov stated that the existing rules will remain unchanged.
Earlier, Ernes Dosaliev, Deputy Director of the State Institution "Kyzmat," mentioned a case in the republic where a man became a woman and suggested resolving the issue with his PIN code promptly.
