During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Dastan Jumabekov asked the Deputy Minister of Digital Development Nursultan Kubanov about the possibility of changing the PIN code.
In response, Kubanov stated that changing the PIN code is only permissible in the case of a technical error.
At the same time, Jumabekov noted that when assigning PINs, women are assigned the number 1, while men are assigned 2.
The Deputy Minister clarified that according to current legislation, a PIN change cannot be made due to a change of gender.
“Currently, work is underway to integrate with maternity hospitals for assigning PIN codes. The possibility of changing the PIN can only be considered after a personal appeal from the citizen and an analysis of the reasons for the appeal,” he added.
