The Housing Committee approved the bill on the status of the Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities
The Council will be given the opportunity to participate in the development of regulatory acts concerning the rights of people with disabilities
On January 20, the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Local Self-Government, and Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh held the second reading of the draft law that regulates the activities of the Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities under the Cabinet of Ministers.
Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Bekeshev initiated this document. The chairman of the committee, Kurmankul Zulushov, noted that the draft law had previously been returned for revision.
The aim of developing the document is to enhance the capabilities of the Council for the Protection of the Rights of Citizens with Disabilities. The draft law proposes to officially establish its functions and grant the Council the right to participate in the legislative process concerning the rights of people with disabilities.
During the discussion, the committee decided to change the title of the draft law to "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On Regulatory Legal Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic'."
