According to him, Kyrgyz citizens are currently forced to pay over 600 soms for the opportunity to catch three kilograms of fish.
“This is a one-time ticket, not an annual one as it was before. Moreover, it can only be paid for through MegaPay. Why not set the price at 100 soms per kilogram and allow people to use the banks that are convenient for them for payment? Numerous complaints are coming from citizens, including pensioners and fishing enthusiasts, as well as the federation that trains children,” the deputy noted.
In response, the director of the fisheries department, Jalilbek Toymatov, stated that similar requests have also been received by the agency, and the possibility of reducing prices for pensioners is currently being considered.
“Last year there were one set of rates, this year there are others. The tariffs were determined by the Academy of Sciences,” he added.
Toymatov also reported that discussions are ongoing about the possibility of payment through various banks and applications.
