In Kyrgyzstan, an inspection of pawnshops will be conducted, as reported by the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
This initiative was announced by the chairman of the SCNS, Kamchybek Tashiev, during a meeting with citizens who became victims of a criminal case against citizen S.M. on January 19.

Security service employees, together with tax inspectors and representatives of the National Bank, will check the conditions for providing loans and interest rates in pawnshops.

It should be noted that citizen S.M., who has multiple criminal convictions, has long been engaged in illegal activities in the pawnshop and usury sectors, providing loans on exploitative terms with high interest rates. As a result, he used the resulting debts for the illegal seizure of movable and immovable property from citizens.
