The deputy inquired who will be held responsible for the improper use of millions of soms in film production.
She raised this question during the discussion of the Ministry of Culture's report on national cinematography, which addressed issues related to the quality of film projects.
“Who will answer for this: the Ministry of Culture or the Department of Cinematography? If, for example, a road is built incorrectly, the responsibility lies with the Ministry of Transport. But in the case of films, who will be responsible if the project turns out to be unsuccessful?” she inquired.
The director of the Kyrgyzfilm studio, Maksat Jumayev, reported that the film project "Ayan" was accepted as completed by the previous director and, according to him, is already in the archive. “I asked the director what would happen if we needed to show this film on television, and he replied that this would not happen,” he noted.
Amanova also emphasized that one of the reasons for the problems in the film industry is the lack of qualified screenwriters, directors, and producers.
Jumayev added that many participants in competitions do not have sufficient preparation. “We ask them if they can finance their projects if the artistic council does not accept them. But no one wants to take on that responsibility,” he said.
The deputy highlighted that the new team at the Ministry of Culture plans to implement reforms in this area, and that the process should be completed without appointing individuals who are not related to the matter.
Deputy Minister of Culture Marat Tagaev supported her opinion, clarifying that there were many connections in the industry before, but now strict control will be established over all processes.
