The Ministry of Labor reported 5,500 job vacancies

The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan reports that as of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 open vacancies in the country.

As noted by the agency, the greatest interest from employers is recorded in skilled trades.

Currently, the official unemployment rate in the republic stands at 1.3%. According to the Ministry of Labor, there are 56,500 unemployed individuals registered with employment services, of which 38,100 have official registration. In 2025, the employment service was able to assist 17,454 citizens in finding jobs.

Vacancies are available for the following professions:


  • service sector — 1,296;

  • preschool and school educators — 350;

  • medical workers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and orderlies) — 320;

  • cashiers — 151;

  • sales agents — 63;

  • state and municipal employees — 36;

  • managers — 95;

  • accountants — 150;

  • lawyers — 24;

  • economists — 40;

  • administrators — 96;

  • interns — 185;

  • skilled workers — 4,251;

  • IT specialists — 253;

  • chefs — 420;

  • sales agents — 400;

  • seamstresses — 1,850;

  • welders — 150;

  • construction workers (drivers, mechanics, welders, carpenters, turners, fitters, concrete pourers, and others) — 373;

  • drivers — 1,000;

  • service sector workers (hairdressers, manicurists, waiters, cosmetologists, couriers, cooks, pastry chefs, bakers, etc.) — 178.


As for the average salary, according to the National Statistical Committee, it is as follows:


  • financial sector — 67,121 soms;

  • industry — 66,990 soms;

  • transport — 58,657 soms;

  • construction — 57,472 soms;

  • trade — 47,125 soms;

  • agriculture — 33,462 soms;

  • service sector — 29,679 soms;

  • healthcare and social services — 28,082 soms;

  • education — 27,054 soms;

  • culture — 24,861 soms.
