Ministry of Labor: More than 5,500 job openings in Kyrgyzstan

As of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 open vacancies in Kyrgyzstan, with the highest interest observed in skilled professions, according to the Ministry of Labor.

Currently, the official unemployment rate in the country stands at 1.3%. There are 56,500 unemployed individuals registered with employment services, of which 38,100 have the status of unemployed. In 2025, with the assistance of employment services, 17,454 people found jobs.

The following professions are highlighted among the open vacancies:

• Preschool and school educators – 350;

• Medical workers (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and orderlies) – 320;

• Cashiers – 151;

• Sales agents – 63;

• State and municipal employees – 36;

• Managers – 95;

• Accountants – 150;

• Lawyers – 24;

• Economists – 40;

• Administrators – 96;

• Interns – 185;

• Skilled workers – 4,251;

• Computer specialists – 253;

• Cooks – 420;

• Trade agents – 400;

• Tailors – 1,850;

• Welders – 150;

• Construction workers (drivers, mechanics, welders, etc.) – 373;

• Drivers – 1,000;

• Service industry workers (hairdressers, manicure masters, waiters, etc.) – 178.

The average salary according to the National Statistical Committee is: 67,121 som in the financial sector; 66,990 som in industry; 58,657 som in transportation; 57,472 som in construction; 47,125 som in trade; 33,462 som in agriculture; 29,679 som in the service sector; 28,082 som in healthcare and social services; 27,054 som in education; and 24,861 som in culture.
