The Ministry of Labor named the number of vacant jobs in the Kyrgyz Republic and in-demand professions.

As of January 1, 2026, there are 5,547 job vacancies registered in the republic. The most in-demand positions are in the skilled trades, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration.

Currently, the unemployment rate in the country stands at 1.3%. There are 56,500 unemployed individuals registered with employment services, of which 38,100 have official registration. Last year, thanks to the efforts of the employment service, 17,454 people were employed.

Vacancies are available for the following professions: Service sector - 1,296:

  • educators in preschool and school institutions - 350;
  • medical specialists (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and sanitation workers) - 320;
  • cashiers - 151;
  • sales agents - 63;
  • state and municipal employees - 36;
  • managers - 95;
  • accountants - 150;
  • lawyers - 24;
  • economists - 40;
  • administrators - 96;
  • interns - 185.
There are also vacancies in other fields:

  • skilled trades - 4,251;
  • IT specialists - 253;
  • cooks - 420;
  • sales agents - 400;
  • seamstresses - 1,850;
  • welders - 150;
  • construction workers (drivers, mechanics, welders, carpenters, etc.) - 373;
  • drivers - 1,000;
  • service sector representatives (hairdressers, manicurists, waiters, cosmetologists, couriers, and others) - 178.
Regarding average salaries, according to the National Statistical Committee, they vary: in the financial sector - 67,121 soms; in industry - 66,990 soms; in transportation - 58,657 soms; in construction - 57,472 soms; in trade - 47,125 soms; in agriculture - 33,462 soms; in the service sector - 29,679 soms; in healthcare and social services - 28,082 soms; in education - 27,054 soms; in culture - 24,861 soms.
