Now corrections to the PIN can be made without regard to when they occurred.
A draft law concerning amendments to the law on personalized accounting of citizens is under consideration in the Jogorku Kenesh. This document aims to simplify the process of making changes to the personal identification number (PIN) in cases of technical errors.
According to the proposed amendments, the ability to change the PIN will be available not only for errors made before July 1, 2017, but also for more recent cases. This includes incorrect data regarding gender, date of birth, full name, as well as situations where one citizen has multiple PINs due to technical failures.
The draft law also eliminates discrepancies in the current regulations and aligns them with the procedure established by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2025. As a result, citizens will be able to correct errors in state registers more quickly and avoid difficulties when obtaining documents and social services.
