The deputy noted that the Naryn region uses only 3% of the total electricity consumption in the country

During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Ulan Bakasov made a request to increase the daily electricity consumption limit for residents of the Naryn region to 7 kilowatt-hours per subscriber.

He emphasized that this winter has been particularly cold in the region, and the current restrictions are causing significant difficulties for the local population. According to the deputy, the total daily electricity consumption in Kyrgyzstan is 66 million 233 thousand kWh, of which only 2 million 801 thousand kWh, or about 3%, is accounted for by the Naryn region.

“I ask to set the limit at 7 kilowatts. Winter is coming to an end, there is only a month left. This will not have a significant impact on the country's energy system, as Naryn uses only 3% of the total electricity consumption,” Bakasov added.

He also reminded that in 2025, a consumption norm of 3 kilowatt-hours per subscriber per day was introduced across the country. In December, the limit for the Naryn region was increased to 4 kWh, and in January to 5 kWh due to severe frosts.
