Hundreds of people are trying to exchange their driver's licenses at the GU "Unaa"

Today, January 15, about 400 citizens were eager to obtain a ticket for exchanging indefinite driver's licenses at the state institution "Unaa," located on Valikhanov Street in Bishkek.
According to information from visitors, only 195 tickets were issued, while the institution can serve no more than 150 people per day. New driver's licenses and vehicle registration plates can also be obtained here.
As explained by Kaktus.media at "Unaa," the rush is related to the cancellation of the requirement for a medical certificate 083.
“Some points are operating without weekends, as there are many people living in Bishkek who are not registered in the capital but need to replace their documents,” commented the press service.
They also noted that everyone who applies will receive the necessary assistance.
However, at the moment, the exchange of driver's licenses through the "Tunduk" portal is unavailable.

Representatives of JSC "Tunduk" confirmed that the service is temporarily unavailable but assured that after the update of the application, which is currently being developed, online exchange of licenses will be restored.
“Due to the modernization of the driver's license replacement service and the expansion of its functionality (including free exchanges), the service is temporarily unavailable. It will resume after the next update of the mobile application 'Tündük',” the company added.

We remind you that in November 2024, mandatory replacement of indefinite driver's licenses issued in Kyrgyzstan from 2009 to 2012 was announced. The period for free exchange is limited until February 15 of this year. Previously, a medical certificate of form 083 was required for the exchange, but after a large influx at clinics and numerous complaints, the requirement was canceled.

The Director of the State Agency for Registration of Vehicles and Driver's Licenses of the KR, Tynchbek Saidov, reported that
applications for a new document can be made at any time throughout the year - the exchange will be possible, but for a set fee of 779 soms. Other categories of citizens are served in the usual manner.

Free exchange of driver's licenses is only conducted with personal visits (offline).
