UNA clarified information regarding the free replacement of driver's licenses

The UNAA has provided clarifications regarding the free exchange of driver's licenses.

Recall that the day before, the head of the president's office, Kanaybek Tumanbaev, made a statement on this issue.

In his Facebook account, he noted that "in accordance with the president's directive, from January 15 to February 15, 2026, owners of old indefinite driver's licenses will be able to exchange them for free," and also urged citizens not to postpone the replacement process.

According to the UNAA, the free exchange will be available exclusively for owners of old licenses without an expiration date. If a citizen is unable to replace their license during the specified period, they will be able to do so later, but on a paid basis. However, specific timelines for paid replacements have not been established, as clarified by the agency.

Furthermore, the UNAA noted that those wishing to apply for a replacement can do so at any time during the year, but it will be carried out at the established rates. For all other categories of citizens, services remain unchanged and will be provided in the standard manner.
