Deputy: Instruments of the maternity hospital and the purulent infection department of the NCODM are sterilized together
She emphasized that this medical institution is experiencing a shortage of sterilizers for processing used instruments. "The existing autoclave, which was manufactured back in 1996, often breaks down. On days when it is not functioning, medical staff are forced to transport instruments for sterilization to the 6th maternity hospital in ambulances. This is absolutely unacceptable and contradicts sanitary requirements, which can lead to the emergence of cross-infections. The instruments used for childbirth in the 6th maternity hospital are sterilized together with those used in the surgical and purulent infection departments of the Jal hospital," she noted, calling for new autoclaves to be installed at the national center.
