Bekeshev asks the president to prevent the construction of football fields in BotSAD

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, Dastan Bekeshev expressed dissatisfaction with the plans to build football fields in the Botanical Garden. He noted that this site is of great importance to Bishkek, serving as the city's "lungs."

Bekeshev reminded that the legislation states that the Botanical Garden is intended for the protection of biodiversity and scientific research. "This garden was created for the cultivation of various plants, including endemic species. In other countries, such places develop and multiply plants, but here we decided to build football fields! What biodiversity can we talk about under such conditions?" the deputy questioned. He added that while football fields are necessary, no professional athlete has requested their construction specifically in the Botanical Garden.

"Let's separate football from the Botanical Garden. This garden is important not only for the capital but for all of Kyrgyzstan. People come there to relax and walk, not to play football. There are other locations for that. I am ready to propose alternative sites for the construction of fields. I urge the president to pay attention to this situation. Football in the Botanical Garden is not needed!" Bekeshev emphasized.

It is worth noting that the project to build football fields in the Botanical Garden is being implemented by the Presidential Administration.
