In Kyrgyzstan, they want to build seven wildlife rehabilitation centers
Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Zhanibek Kerimaliev noted that the initiative aims to improve the health of both people and animals, as well as to enhance the state of the environment in the country.
The first stage of the project includes three key areas:
- Combating zoonotic infections: increasing control over diseases among animals, developing effective methods for diagnosis and treatment, and informing the public about the risks of infections transmitted from animals to humans.
- Preventing antimicrobial resistance: rational use of antibiotics in medicine and veterinary medicine, developing alternative treatment methods, and preventing the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
- Ensuring food safety: improving sanitary conditions at all stages of production and processing, as well as strengthening quality control of products.
Additional funds will be allocated to two other ministries to carry out tasks within their authority.
