In Kyrgyzstan, there will be its own film studio and its own Dolby Atmos studio, - Minister of Culture
According to the minister, Kyrgyz film products are in high demand among viewers, and people are actively attending local films. He emphasized the importance of state support for the development of cinema.
The minister also spoke about plans to create a film studio and expressed confidence in support from the government. In addition, the Ministry of Culture intends to open a Dolby Atmos recording studio, which will allow for the creation of three-dimensional immersive sound, providing a deeper immersion into films.
“Many of our specialists are forced to travel to Moscow for film dubbing, which is quite expensive due to transportation and studio rental costs. We can create such conditions here, and the state is ready to implement this,” Mambetaliev stated.
He added that the department is currently working on the technical specifications for the studio and hopes it will be launched by the end of 2026.
Regarding the film studio, the minister emphasized that many private producers also shoot films abroad. A government order will ensure the operation of "Kyrgyzfilm" in the studio, and during free time, it can be used by private producers, which will bring additional income.
Furthermore, Mambetaliev announced plans to reform the legislation in the field of cinema. “The legislation in the field of culture and cinema has not been updated since 2000, and we intend to revise it. Our lawyers are actively working on analyzing and making the necessary changes to facilitate work in this area,” he noted.
