The musical "Raymaly and Begimai" earned 30 million soms with an investment of 10 million soms, - Minister of Culture

In 2025, the National Philharmonic Hall named after Toktogul Satylganov hosted the premieres of two major musicals — "Raymaly and Begimai" and "Jamilya." For the realization of the first one, 10 million soms were allocated, and it has already brought in 30 million soms to date. This was shared by the Minister of Culture, Mirbek Mambetaliev, in an interview with AKIpress.

According to the minister, the musical "Raymaly and Begimai" was presented in Bishkek 15 times, and all performances were held in full houses. Recently, it was also shown in Moscow, where it generated great interest! "Although I could not attend the premiere, the director of the philharmonic and my deputy were there, and they returned thrilled," he noted.

Additionally, Mirbek Mambetaliev mentioned that the Toktogul Satylganov Philharmonic is currently working on a new project — the musical "Suymonkul." The main figure in this work will be the famous Kyrgyz actor and artist Suymonkul Chokmorov. The Ministry of Culture has also allocated additional funds for this production.

“We will continue to stage such performances and expand our repertoire. One of the key tasks of the Ministry of Culture is to bring audiences back to the theaters,” the minister added.
