Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in a number of countries postponed to 2027 due to preparations for the Games of Nomads and SCO, - Minister of Culture

Due to the preparations for the World Nomad Games and events within the framework of the SCO, the Days of Kyrgyz Culture in several countries have been postponed to 2027. This was reported by the Minister of Culture, Mirbek Mambetaliev, in an interview with AKIpress.

“Our colleagues have understood this decision. We plan to organize the Days of Kyrgyz Culture, for example, in Belarus and other countries in 2027,” the minister noted.

He also spoke about the upcoming plans for the current year, including Kyrgyzstan's participation in a theater festival in France and a visit to the Biennale in Italy.

Discussing international cultural cooperation, Mirbek Mambetaliev mentioned the play "Semetei," created in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Korea.

“The play was directed by a Korean director who presented his view on the epic 'Semetei.' Yes, there are critics who note that bottles and other elements were used in the play, but that is the perspective of the Korean director. Art always has the right to diverse interpretations. Some of our colleagues believe that art should be provocative, and I agree with this point of view. Art should evoke emotions,” he added.
