The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported details about the visa deposit for Kyrgyz citizens traveling to the USA.
Starting from January 21, 2026, citizens of several countries, including Kyrgyzstan, will be required to pay a financial bond ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. The specific amount will be determined by the consular officer during the interview.
Applicants will also need to submit Form I-352 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security only at the direction of the consular officer and confirm their agreement to the bond conditions through the online system Pay.gov of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
In this regard, the Ministry emphasizes the following points:
- the payment of the bond does not guarantee the issuance of a visa;
- in the event of a change in immigration status or exceeding the allowed duration of stay, the bond will not be refunded;
- these rules apply exclusively to new applications submitted after the changes come into effect.
