Another successful kidney transplant took place at the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (NCOMC) for a 29-year-old patient. The operation was performed completely free of charge, according to information from the Ministry of Health.

The Deputy Minister of Health, Bakyt Kadyraliev, familiarized himself with the surgical intervention process and the organization of medical assistance.

The patient had previously been on programmed hemodialysis for 12 months, and the cause of kidney function loss was chronic glomerulonephritis. His biological brother was the donor.

Since the beginning of 2024, NCOMC has already performed 41 free kidney transplants funded by the state budget. From 2018 to 2026, the number of such operations at the center reached 83.

The medical team continues to accept patients with chronic kidney diseases and actively develops transplantation in the country.

During the visit, the deputy minister met with a patient who received a kidney transplant 14 years ago. He is now leading a full life, working, and actively participating in social life.

Experts emphasize that this case is a vivid example of the fact that transplantation is not only a complex operation but also a real opportunity for a long and quality life.
