Since the beginning of 2024, the center has started conducting free kidney transplant surgeries funded by the state budget. Currently, 38 such procedures have been carried out.
Among the successful surgeries is the latest one, conducted on February 12, 2026. A 39-year-old patient, A.N., who had been on hemodialysis for eight months, underwent a kidney transplant due to stage five chronic kidney disease. The surgery was successful, and his condition is currently stable; he is in the intensive care unit of the transplant department at NCPMC. The donor was his 37-year-old brother, A.M.
The transplant department at NCPMC is equipped with modern technology and has a qualified medical team.
According to information from the center, there are currently 206 patients with stage five chronic kidney disease waiting for a kidney transplant. The medical team at NCPMC regularly conducts consultations and prepares patients for potential surgeries.

NCPMC also reports the implementation of a new methodology for immunological testing in kidney transplantation, which is an important step in the modern approach to transplantation. These studies help select suitable donors, predict the risk of rejection, and adjust immunosuppressive therapy, which can reduce the frequency of rejections and prolong the lifespan of the transplanted kidney. For this purpose, specialists have undergone training in Turkey and Russia.
