In Bishkek, another free kidney transplant was performed — a total of 81 such operations have been conducted.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, the patient is a man born in 1981, who has been undergoing treatment for chronic hemodialysis since 2018. His biological brother served as the donor. Currently, both are in stable condition and are under the supervision of medical specialists.
Kidney transplant surgeries at NCMCH have been performed since 2018. During this period, 38 surgeries have been conducted at the expense of the state budget, with a total of 81 transplants completed. The center has implemented a method of immunological testing, which includes determining histocompatibility according to the HLA system and cross-matching tests, significantly increasing the safety of the surgeries and improving long-term treatment outcomes.
At present, there are about 200 patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease on the waiting list for a kidney transplant. The center's specialists are ready to provide consultations and prepare them for surgeries.
