An emergency surgery was performed on a 2-year-old child at the Interregional Children's Clinical Hospital in Osh.

As reported by the chief physician of the institution, Zhyrgalbek Tolorov, the incident occurred on January 15, when the boy was brought to the hospital after swallowing 17 magnetic toys.

According to the doctors' information, the child had been suffering from periodic vomiting for three days. Initially, he was referred to the Nookat District Hospital.

X-ray examination revealed several foreign objects in the intestines, after which the child was transferred to the Osh Regional Children's Hospital. Considering the severity of the child's condition, a team of experienced surgeons promptly performed the surgery and successfully removed all 17 magnets.

At present, the patient's condition is assessed as stable. Doctors continue to provide necessary treatment, and the child is under careful observation by specialists.
Medical professionals warn: magnetic toys pose a serious danger to children. If several magnets are swallowed, they can connect to each other in the gastrointestinal tract, which can cause intestinal damage, lead to serious consequences, and require surgical intervention. Doctors strongly urge parents to pay attention to the safety of their children.
