Nishanov, representing the "Respublika - Ata-Jurt" party, was a deputy of the VI convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh. After completing his parliamentary activities in 2020, he took the position of chairman of the board of JSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz", and in April 2023, he was re-elected to this position.
According to available information, after the interrogation, Nishanov may be detained.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the initiation of a criminal case under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Corruption", concerning possible offenses at "Kyrgyzneftegaz".
The investigation was prompted by video materials published in the media, which spoke of improper actions by the company's officials. In particular, it was mentioned that employees of JSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" could have abused their official positions by creating schemes for the sale and distribution of fuel and lubricants in collusion with other firms.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also claimed that against the backdrop of rising prices for fuel and lubricants in the country, conditions were created for the illegal extraction of profits by affiliated companies.
Currently, investigative actions are being conducted with the participation of specialists from the State Tax Service.
