In 2012, she graduated from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin, receiving a degree in "International Relations." From 2015 to 2018, she worked as a press secretary in the apparatus of the authorized representative of the government in the Chui region. Then, from 2018 to 2022, she held the position of head of the information department of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums.
From 2022 to 2024, Sherimbekova was an advisor to the head of the National Statistical Committee, and starting in 2024, she worked as an expert in the information policy service of the presidential administration.
Yzyldyz Sherimbekova's predecessor as head of the press service, Zhaynak Usen uulu, was appointed as an advisor on digitalization to the speaker of parliament, Marlen Mamataliyev.
