Kyrgyzstan Expresses Solidarity with Bahrain and Oman Amid Middle East Conflict

During a telephone conversation on March 4, Jeenbek Kulubaev discussed current events in the region with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry expressed support for the people of Bahrain in light of the increasing tensions affecting its territory.

While discussing the situation, the participants expressed hope for a swift resolution of the conflict, the restoration of diplomatic dialogue, and the adoption of measures to achieve peace and stability.

Additionally, Minister Kulubaev also contacted the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi. During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on important issues of regional security and stability.

Minister Kulubaev also conveyed words of support from the President of Kyrgyzstan to the people and leadership of Oman, thanking them for their assistance in the return of Kyrgyz citizens from the Gulf countries.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, the ministers emphasized the necessity of resolving current contradictions exclusively through peaceful means to facilitate the prompt restoration of stability in the region.

On the morning of February 28, Israel and the United States conducted strikes against Iran. Donald Trump announced his intention to destroy the Iranian nuclear program.

In response, Iran began attacks on Israeli territory and on other countries in the Middle East where American military bases are located. Strikes were carried out against Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh.

As a result of the American-Israeli operation, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, and his wife, Mansure Khojasteh, died from injuries sustained in the attack.

Donald Trump stated that military operations in Iran would continue for about four weeks. Iran, in turn, declared jihad against the U.S. and Israel, emphasizing that there would be no negotiations.
