
The parliamentary committee on labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues of the Jogorku Kenesh organized hearings dedicated to the draft law "On Labor Protection." This was reported by the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Representatives from government agencies, local communities, NGOs, and civil society participated in the discussion.
The report on the draft law was presented by Kamchybek Dosmatov, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration. He noted that the aim of the document is to ensure safe and healthy working conditions, as well as to prevent accidents and occupational diseases. Additionally, it is planned to enhance the effectiveness of the labor protection system both at the enterprise level and at the state level.
Gulsunkhan Junushalieva, the committee chair, raised important issues regarding the resolution of labor disputes through the courts and the protection of personal data in the electronic accounting system of citizens. She added that an electronic platform "Zhumush.gov" is currently being developed, which will ensure reliable protection of personal data.
Deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu emphasized the need for improving the qualifications of personnel in both government bodies and private companies. Toktobubu Ashymbaeva suggested strengthening the work of labor inspectors for more effective protection of workers' rights and timely identification of violations.
Representatives of government institutions, civil society, and trade unions highlighted the importance of clearly defining the authorized bodies responsible for monitoring compliance with the law.
Furthermore, the discussion participants considered issues related to the formation of a culture of labor protection, improving statistics on workplace injuries, enhancing preventive measures, and refining internal control mechanisms in enterprises.
