Based on the personal request of Eldar Sulaymanov, the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic has prematurely terminated his powers as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh. According to the press service of the CEC, the deputy's certificate has been declared invalid.
As a result of this decision, the vacant seat of the deputy from the multi-mandate electoral district No. 5 has been transferred to Azizbek Abdullaev. This resolution was approved at a CEC meeting held on February 18.
Abdullaev is already registered as a member of parliament, and he will be presented with the confirming document and badge.
The official reasons for the resignation of Eldar Sulaymanov have not been disclosed. However, there were previously rumors in society about a conflict in his personal life, in particular, his ex-wife made statements about domestic violence, which the deputy himself denied.
